How do I join the Zoom call?

After you complete your registration, you will receive an email with a link and a list of phone numbers. You can choose to join the call either by clicking the link or calling the number for your region and following the prompts.

How do I maintain anonymity?

If you already have a Zoom account associated with your name/photo, we recommend that you temporarily remove your photo and change your name to your alias to maintain your anonymity.

Do I need to have my video on?

No. All interviews will be conducted as audio calls. Neither the interviewer or the interviewee will use their cameras for the duration of the interview.

Do I need a Zoom account to participate?

No, you can join the interview as a participant without having a Zoom account. However, if you would like to access/change your personal settings, you will require an account.

How do I get a Zoom account?

You can sign up for a free Zoom account at zoom.us.

What if I have internet troubles?

If you experience issues with your internet connection during the interview, please call the number listed on your Zoom invitation and we can proceed with the interview over the phone. If you continue to experience issues, please email Marissa at marissawalter@acadiau.ca to reschedule your interview. If you are unable to contact Marissa, she will contact you by email to reschedule.
